Our paddles are built to the USA Pickleball equipment specification — paddle dimensions, surface roughness, and core construction all fall inside it — but we have never submitted them for certification, so they are not on the USA Pickleball approved list and are not eligible for USAP-sanctioned tournament play. For everything else they are unrestricted: rec games, drop-in, drills, ladders, house leagues, and training. That is exactly where they shine, and it is a big part of why they cost a third of a certified flagship.

Sanctioned tournaments that require USA Pickleball approved equipment: no, because we have not put our paddles through certification. Casual and club events that do not check equipment: yes. If your goal is sanctioned competition, buy a certified paddle for the event and use a SOLA SPIN as your training and everyday paddle.

Yes. Every paddle carries a 30-day manufacturing-defect warranty covering panel delamination, core crush, and edge-guard peel. Covered paddles are swapped same-day, locally in Toronto, with no cross-border mailing. Normal wear and abuse are not covered.

Same thermoformed T700 carbon build as the big brands, sold direct with zero retail markup, and no certification or pro-endorsement costs baked into the price. That's the whole idea: total court control, zero overpricing.

We offer 4" (Thin), 4¼" (Standard), 4½" (Thick). Measure from the middle crease of your palm to the tip of your ring finger: about 4 inches means thin, 4¼ standard, 4½ thick. If you are between sizes, size down — an overgrip adds roughly 1/16 of an inch, and you can always build a grip up but never shave it down.

7.9 to 8.2 oz, which is mid-weight. Mid-weight is the safe default: light enough for quick hands at the kitchen, heavy enough to drive the ball without swinging harder. Adding lead tape lets you push a paddle heavier later if you want more power.

Thermoforming molds the paddle face, core, and edges into one fused unibody under heat and pressure. It makes the paddle stiffer and more durable, with a larger sweet spot and more pop than a cold-pressed build.

Outdoor balls have 40 smaller holes and harder plastic to cut through wind; indoor balls have 26 bigger holes and a softer, slower flight for gym floors. We stock both, plus PU-foam quiet balls for condos and shared indoor spaces.

All four of our paddles use a 16mm polypropylene honeycomb core. A 16mm core is the control-oriented choice: it plays softer, has a bigger sweet spot, and absorbs pace so dinks and resets drop where you want them. Thinner 14mm cores hit flatter and quicker off the face, which some hard-hitting players prefer, but they are less forgiving on touch shots.

Same 16mm polypropylene core in all four; the face and the press change how they play. RALLY ($45) is cold-pressed T700 carbon, the easy-entry paddle to learn on. FRICTION S1 ($59) is a thermoformed unibody with the same T700 carbon face for more power and a bigger sweet spot. FRICTION S2 ($69) swaps in a 3K carbon weave face with visible texture for extra bite on spin. ARAMID S1K ($85) uses an aramid fibre weave face, our most premium feel on touch shots.

Yes, if you are not overpaying for it. A carbon face gives a larger sweet spot and more spin than the fiberglass paddles usually bundled in starter sets, so it is easier to keep balls in play while you learn. The catch is that carbon paddles normally start around $150 to $250. Ours start at $45, which is why we suggest starting on real carbon instead of replacing a beginner paddle six months later.

For most recreational players a paddle stays lively for one to two seasons; heavy players who play several times a week may notice the face going dead sooner. The usual signs are dull sound, less spin off the face, and a smaller sweet spot. Edge guards and grips wear out first, and both are replaceable. Our warranty covers manufacturing defects, not normal wear.
